Summit East is a family friendly hill for abilities from Green-Black Diamond. (Not ideal for first timers- There is no magic carpet)
Riding
The pop up tent in the main Summit East parking lot is our “base camp” for the day. Look for the KCSSC sign. Riders can ride together, come and go to the tent as they please, but families will be responsible for their own children on this day. We will meet at 8:30ish and begin riding around 9:00 when the chairlifts open. We will ride all day, with groups taking breaks as needed.
Potluck
Potluck BBQ begins at about 12:30 at the pop-up tent. A parent has volunteered to bring a BBQ. Please bring snacks, drinks, burgers, dogs, napkins, plates etc. If the weather calls for it, we may need a portable fire pit!

Tickets
There are no blackouts for passholders on this day, meaning all seasons pass holders can ride this day.

What if family doesn’t ride or will be late?
No worries! Your child can ride with the rest of us! We recommend snowshowing or crosscountry skiing as a nice mountain alternative for non-downhill attendees. Please feel free to join us for the BBQ. Latecomers are also welcome, just let us know ahead of time so we aren’t waiting around! It may be difficult to find us if arriving late, so we recommend planning to meet for lunch, and joining afterwards.
Getting There
From I-90 go South off Exit 54. Follow the signs to Summit East. Google Maps
This season there will be no ski shuttle available for the tailgate party. We encourage carpooling!
